Race #297 – Belmont Classic 5k – Belmont, NC – 05/23/15

2015-belmont-classic-LOGOThis is one of my favorite 5k races of the year. On reflection of why I like it so much, I have a feeling it’s more because of its nearby location, good weather (always nice and warm for me), abundance of running friends who are there each year, and familiarity with the course that makes it so appealing to me and not that it’s outstanding in some way that really sets is apart. Having said that, I really like it and will continue to look forward to running it each year.

  1. You amaze me at your times. I would love to be able to run a 7 minute pace.
Dr. has me running again as long as it’s easy and every other day for now. I can’t believe how out of shape I got in 2 months.
I’m up to 3.2 miles and have knocked a minute off my mile pace in two weeks. Guess it will take sometime to get back to where I was. First time I ever had injury and don’t like it at all.
Have a GREAT race this weekend.
