Race #366 – Charlotte 10-Miler (& 4-Mile Run) – Charlotte, NC – 02/18/17

Over the past five years this has become one of the premier races in Charlotte with about 1,500 finishers combined in the 10-mile and 4-mile races. There’s free breakfast at the finish, and even though the pancakes and sausage seem to always be cold the coffee is hot and the whole race atmosphere is almost enough to keep you warm in the frigid February temperatures. Fortunately this year the weather was great, with temperatures in the 50s at the end and sunny skies. There were also mimosas at the finish line, a great custom finisher medal, do-it-yourself “TapSnap” photos, and one of the best shirts of the year (this year a long-sleeved zip-up pullover). All combined, it’s one of my favorite local races and a must-do if you’re looking for a race in the Charlotte area.
